Which other standards does AS9145 integrate with?

The requirements and goals of AS9145 integrate with four other standards in the aerospace and defense industry: AS9100, AS9102, AS9103 and AS9110.

Specifically, AS9145 relates to section eight of AS9100.

What is APQP?

Advanced product quality planning is a framework for integrating manufacturing processes throughout the product lifecycle.

It consists of five distinct stages, from planning to ongoing production.

What is PPAP?

The production part approval process provides a structured methodology for approving new and amended parts and production methods.

It evaluates risk at each stage of the APQP process, culminating in a submission package of 11 documents.

When should a PPAP submission be completed?

PPAP submissions can be requested by customers at any stage. However, they are most typically required when a new part has been ordered or when changes are made to existing parts or processes.

Is AS9145 compliance necessary?
