Over the past year, initial public offerings have continued to decrease, but total gross proceeds are rising. SPACs have also continued to plummet, dropping more than 50% in the last year. Nearly half of non-SPAC IPOs were foreign based companies.
Additionally, the NASDAQ lead the way in IPO listings, holding 84% of the IPO market, a jump from 48% in 2013. Meanwhile, manufacturing was the industry leader in both number of IPOs and total gross proceeds, more than doubling the second placed industries.
