Strata Manufacturing PJSC, part of Mubadala Development Company, improve document approval and incident processing times
Working in the aviation industry, and with a vision to be recognised by the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) as the partner of choice for advanced aero structures, Strata Manufacturing PJSC (Strata) recognised that their current, paper driven management systems were not able to suitably control their internal or customer requirements. What was needed was a single central source of data, ensuring that the relevant information was readily available at all times leading to an empowered and high performance workforce.
Strata chose to work with Ideagen and implemented Q-Pulse as its electronic quality management solution based on a number of factors. They were impressed with the suitability and functionality of the system and its capabilities in regards to incident reporting as well as audit, CAPA and document management. Also, the skills and services offered by Ideagen’s hugely experienced personnel was also a contributing factor. Ideagen’s professional services and support staff in particular were hugely beneficial for the company, which had been struggling with existing systems which were static. In implementing Q-Pulse, Ideagen’s staff helped configure Strata’s entire system, while the support services offered by Ideagen – including online training through it’s Academy – were “outstanding” and a perfect fit for Strata’s objectives.
- Access to round the clock support and professional services from Ideagen
- Significant improvements across management processes in just 12 months
- Staff have ownership of actions and clear target dates for completion
- Improved alignment between departments – including cross visibility of information
- Document approvals reduced to 24 hours from three weeks
- Processing incidents reduced to 4-5 hours from one week or longer
Processing incidents prior to working with Ideagen and Q-Pulse typically could take up to a week, or sometimes longer. Now, these are managed in around 4-5 hours on average – so that is a significant saving in itself.
