Ideagen celebrates young people’s inspiring community impact
Young people making a real difference in their communities were celebrated at an inspiring awards event supported by Ideagen.
Ten-year-old Imogen Blyth from Bingham was crowned this year’s winner of the “Young Person or Group of the Year” category at the 2025 Celebrating Rushcliffe Awards.
As the only girl on a boys’ rugby team, Imogen took the initiative to create a dedicated girls’ side at her school – then replicated that success at Bingham Rugby Club. Thanks to her determination, more than 20 girls now train weekly and compete in matches, sparking a surge in participation and enthusiasm for girls’ rugby.
Louise Tommasi, Chief People Officer at Ideagen, who presented Imogen with her trophy, said: “Imogen’s story perfectly captures what this award is all about – young people taking action and creating lasting change in their communities. Her drive to build something from the ground up shows leadership far beyond her years and stands as a testament to the incredible impact young people can have, inspiring others to do the same.
“We’re proud to sponsor this award once again, reflecting our deep commitment to our core values of ambition, adventure and community. It was fantastic to hear all the inspirational stories from the winners and nominees and to celebrate the energy and community spirit that surrounds our Nottingham HQ.”

Ideagen sponsored the "Young Person or Group of the Year" award, which honors individuals or groups creating real change through their dedication and achievements. Alongside Imogen, also shortlisted in the category were Kyrell Wainwright-Clarke from Cotgrave and Plumtree U13 Girls Cricket.
Cllr Neil Clarke, Leader of Rushcliffe Borough Council, added: “This event has shone a spotlight on so many individuals, businesses, sports clubs and organizations who give selflessly of their time and energy. Whether volunteer, entrepreneur or community leader, you are making a real difference to people’s lives across the Borough.
“We are deeply grateful to everyone who took the time to nominate, and to our sponsors whose support helps make Rushcliffe such a vibrant, inclusive and thriving place to live and work.”
