The challenge
Before Ideagen Quality Management, MVRDLS was challenged with maintaining a labor-intensive, time-consuming paper document system. In preparing for AAVLD accreditation, the team quickly realized they hadn't been using the software to its full potential. Lab staff were documenting training sessions, but there was little standardization in how training was documented or which requirements it was measured against. Training records weren't centrally controlled, making it difficult to audit internally or prepare for external audits. Joey Kellum, Quality Manager and Safety Officer for the four labs, knew the team had the right tool but lacked the resources to expand its use. After meeting the team at ECL2, an Ideagen company, and hearing about their work with other veterinary diagnostic labs, he found his answer.
