Information management software specialists, Ideagen, has reiterated its commitment to improving safety levels across the UK rail industry by sponsoring a key safety category at the annual Rail Business Awards.
Held in London, the Rail Business Awards recognises and rewards significant achievements of individuals and organisations operating within the UK rail industry.
The Safety and Security Excellence category commends organisations who have introduced any safety or security development, product or service into the UK rail industry. This category, sponsored by Ideagen for the third year in succession, includes two possible awards; one for safety and one for security.
Last year, both categories were filled with established organisations, with Carillion Plc collecting the Safety Excellence award and Northern Rail picking up Security Excellence.
Ideagen’s Chief Executive Officer, David Hornsby, said: “We are absolutely delighted to once again be sponsoring such an important category at the Rail Business Awards.
“There has been great strides made by rail organisations in terms of safety and security during 2015, and we are looking forward to hearing of these efforts throughout the evening.
“As an organisation, Ideagen is committed to improving safety levels within the UK rail industry and we have reiterated those intentions by sponsoring this crucial Safety and Security Excellence category for 2016.”
The Rail Business Awards 2016 will be held in the London Hilton on Park Lane on Thursday, February 25th. This year's event will be hosted by Nick Hewer, co-host of The Apprentice.
