Ideagen, the rail safety software expert, has announced it is to sponsor and exhibit at one of Europe’s leading railway events in Paris.
The International Railway Safety Council (IRSC) conference is one of the premier events on the global rail safety calendar, attracting over 250 delegates specialising in safety and risk each year.
Held at the Pullman Paris Centre-Bercy, the five-day event will concentrate on the challenges tomorrow’s society face for safe and sustainable transport.
Rob Clinton, Ideagen’s VP of Rail, said: “The IRSC event is one of the leading – if not the leading – rail safety event in Europe and Ideagen is both delighted and excited to be sponsoring and exhibiting at such a prestigious event.
“In the UK, Ideagen is leading the way in rail safety, working alongside RSSB in transforming the British rail industry’s incident reporting database.
“At our exhibition stand, delegates will be able to learn more about how our flagship quality, risk and safety tool, Ideagen Coruson, is changing the way in which rail agencies, operators and freight companies are proactively managing and anticipating safety incidents.
“By both sponsoring and exhibiting at IRSC, we are excited to promote our plans for the UK rail industry to some of Europe’s leading organisations in rail travel.”
Earlier this year, Ideagen announced it had won a contract with the UK’s RSSB, the UK’s rail safety and standards body. RSSB and Ideagen are working together in a £4.9million project to replace the country’s rail incident reporting database.
Ideagen will sponsor the IRSC event, which takes place between Sunday, October 2nd until Friday, October 7th, alongside the International Union of Railways (UIC), the RATP Group, Lisea and Groupe Eurotunnel.
The IRSC is organised by the SNCF, the French Public Railway Group, and the French Railway Safety Authority (EPSF).
