MATLOCK-based software developers Ideagen Group PLC hit the back of the net for charity recently during their annual football tournament.
The company’s fundraising 5-a-side event raised a healthy £220 for ‘Together for Short Lives’, the leading UK charity for children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions.
Twenty-one staff from the Ideagen Group’s East Kilbride-based office took part in the tournament, which was held in the town’s Playsport facility on Tuesday, June 2nd.
And the winning team captain of ‘Beercalona’ (pictured), Stephen Coyle, was pleased to pick up the trophy alongside his team in his first year with the company.
Ideagen’s COO Ashley Marron was delighted with the effort of the staff who took part, but insisted the day was all about raising money for charity.
He said: “As ever this was an eagerly awaited event which was played in great spirits and for a great cause."
“Each year our staff are delighted to do their bit for charity through doing something they love. Together for Short Lives is an outstanding and hardworking charity, and we are pleased that the funds raised from our tournament will go towards helping them help youngsters across the UK.”
