Our Software Trainers work within the Customer Learning Team (part of Service Delivery), delivering certified Champion training to customers in order increase engagement with products and support the delivery of the Ideagen Customer Success programme.

In this role you will be responsible for the creation and delivery of training solutions for leading QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental), Auditing and Risk Management software. Training is delivered at Ideagen HQ, online and at customer locations both in the UK and internationally. To support the delivery of these courses, you will attend product lifecycle meetings, and create and maintain course material as required to ensure you truly are a subject matter expert and deliver a first-class service to our customers.

As a business, Ideagen continues to go from strength the strength and we are now recruiting for two Software Trainers to support the team at our Centre of Excellence in Nottingham. We are looking for people who have a passion and enthusiasm for customer leaning, a natural communicator and creative flair to create compelling training courses for our customer across the globe. Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver Champion training courses to Ideagen customers at the training facility or on-site as required
  • Design courses and content based on proven adult learning theory and techniques (including using appropriate design methodology, content and technologies)
  • Attend product lifecycle meetings in order to update product knowledge
  • Update existing courses content and documentation, including workbooks and Course Prospectus
  • Manage training databases, ensuring they are clutter free prior to sessions
  • Deliver online training via Webinars/Virtual classrooms
  • Deliver product training to Ideagen colleagues
  • Monitor course feedback and update course content accordingly
  • Feedback course outcomes to ensure that training records and certificates are recorded and issued correctly
  • Work with colleagues in the Customer Learning Team to deliver continuous improvement and peer to peer coaching

To be considered for this role, you must have:


  • Proven experience of successfully delivering face to face and online training
  • Demonstrable experience in developing training materials in a professional style with strong facilitation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; positive attitude; team player; flexible
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail and sense of ownership and accountability for work
  • Confidence to work closely with other team members of varying levels of seniority and experience within a cross functional team
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites to deliver training as and when required


  • 2 years' experience as a software trainer (ideally QHSE solutions)
  • Knowledge and use of an LMS (Learning Management System) to record and deliver training material
  • Experience of using Adobe Captivate, Storyline or Camtasia
  • Recognised professional qualification in Learning & Development
