We have an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to build and manage a new team of business development representatives, this team will be built from our highly successful graduate programme and external candidates.

 

This is a vital role within our early careers function and your team will operate at the start of the sales process providing interesting and dynamic opportunities to the new business sales team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Sales Development Representatives and Business Development Representatives
  • Track and be accountable for overall team productivity and performance against KPI’s and objectives
  • Build a team of high performing SDRs and BDRs who provide value and outcomes to the Ideagen sales operation
  • Provide visibility into performance, pipeline, forecasting and other key metrics to management teams
  • Work across departments to ensure a productive relationship with Sales and Marketing
  • Be proactive in research, innovation. Suggesting best practices, sales stack improvements, ongoing coaching and creating/monitoring processes
  • Innovate, lead and inspire the team driving a ‘can do’ attitude 
  • Work closely with New Business Sales Managers to identify and exploit new opportunity
  • Sales Qualified Leads and Opportunity pipeline monitoring and reporting to Heads of department and Exec Board
  • Set measurable goals and KPIs, monitor, analyse and report the results ensuring high levels of Salesforce hygiene
  • Support hiring and training SDR and BDR staff
  • Manage the commissions plans for BDRs

 

Skills and Competencies

  • The successful BDR/Inside Sales Manager will naturally have a proven aptitude for sales and high performance cultures and will most likely bring the following skills/experience:
  • Experience leading a fast paced team of SDR’s, BDR’s, Inside Sales team or similar
  • Sales experience an advantage
  • Previous experience leading a demand generation team an advantage
  • Experience working for a global, growth SaaS business would be beneficial
  • Excellent aptitude to numbers and metrics with the ability to interpret these to drive positive change 
  • Quickly creates confidence and trust and drives a positive team culture
  • Demonstrable experience of coaching teams to drive performance improvements using a blend of tools and techniques
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced growth business, able to remain calm and focussed
  • Strong Leadership capabilities, including experience of building highly motivated teams of 15 or more individuals
  • Strong understanding of sales process
  • Excellent communication, presentation and in the moment coaching skills
  • A results-oriented mindset and data-driven approach
