Dependent on Experience

We are now seeking a Product Manager who above all is an Risk Management professional who is passionate about building good risk management software. You are commercially minded and have the skill and experience to create a business strategy for our Enterprise Risk Management Solution to catapult it into dominant market positions by delighting customers and flanking competitors.

You will be an active leader within our product management and broader marketing team, you will work with internal stakeholders, including our Sales, Marketing, R&D and Customer Success departments, to create a competitive strategy that brings an amazing, game changing user experience and performance to our ERM product.

Your success will be critical for Ideagen’s future sales growth, our strategy of business centric R&D, customer success and our desire to be a destination employer.

Key responsibilities:

To have a strategy for the ERM business, currently focused on the Pentana Risk product but broadening in scope to become the Ideagen ERM cloud solution. To own it and drive it and overcome obstacles that threaten it. Define, articulate and communicate Product/Solution vision, capability and value; internally to business and outward to the customers and the market.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Customer Engagement

  • Level 4 Support (you must be intimately familiar with your product)
  • (PRM) relationship management with strategic accounts for input to roadmap and strategy
  • Customer events, mini user groups, roadmap focus groups and workshops
  • Presales support on big ticket opportunities
  • Customer conference participation
  • Webinars

Product (Business) Assurance

  • Research and creation of user requirements, journey and story boards
  • Roadmap definition
  • Run your product life cycle
    • Engage with colleagues in Support, Delivery, Dev, TS, Sales and Marketing
  • Help Technical Product Owner prioritise work
  • Release planning
  • Engage with R&D and Development
    • Track progress
    • Support and help escalate emerging issues to the Product Strategy Board


  • Commercialise the product strategy against future revenue goals
  • Align Roadmap and Go To Market strategy 
  • Engage with sales and account managers
    • Support and educate them about products and strategy
    • Get their field intel

Thought leadership and market engagement

  • Support our analyst team
  • Do your own research and market awareness - keep it fresh
  • Involvement in content production
    • Write your own blogs
    • Instigate and manage flagship thought leadership initiatives
    • Networking - conferences, etc. 
  • Marketing webinars - participate

To be considered for this role, you must have:



  • Professional experience in operational risk management
  • Highly organised
  • Thought leader
  • Emotional intelligence and ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Project management
  • People management
  • Product marketing
  • Market research and analysis
  • Brand development and management



  • Software industry knowledge or experience would be beneficial
  • A relevant HE qualification such as degree or diploma in risk management
