We are looking for an IT Service Desk Administrator, to join our ever-growing business. In this role you will be working within our Infrastructure Operations team who are located across the UK and internationally. The role will be focussing on the “Service Desk”, providing user support and assistant when needed as well as managing the company’s’ infrastructure which includes servers, networking and desktops/ laptop, promoting “work from anywhere” culture.
 
This role will provide an excellent foundation for someone who is looking to develop a career in IT and providing support to customers. You will be passionate about providing excellent customer service, whilst not being afraid to take on a challenge!
 
Key responsibilities: 
 
  • Managing and coordinating Service Desk activities, whilst providing excellent customer service to colleagues by responding to enquires
  •  Provide first line technical support and assist with on-premise hardware, software and facilities in Nottingham, whilst helping when required across other sites including international
  • Arrange and support systems that meet the needs of the business both locally and remotely
  • Maintaining the onboarding and offboarding of staff including user account maintenance to ensure that the company employee records are up to date 
  • Providing support to the IT Service Desk Manager to ensure that all solutions are aligned with the IT and the company standards
  • Work with the Information Security and Standards to develop and maintain the appropriate controls to obtain and retain associated accreditations
  • Liaise with Security Operations (SOC) to ensure all systems and services are continuously secure
  • Communicate with users to keep them up to date on any changes
 
To be considered for this role, you must have: 
 
Essential 
  • Demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Windows operating systems (outlook, Word, Excel), Internet browser (Firefox, Chrome, Safari), 3CX
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure, whilst managing multiple priorities with a keen eye for detail 
  • Proven ability to understand stakeholder needs and transform them into solutions that meet and exceed expectations
  • Understanding of and a passion for emerging methodologies, technologies, architectures and products
  • Deliver on strategic initiatives and provide traditional platform support
  • The ability to be flexible when required to provide on-call and after-hours support 
  • Experience of working in a team orientated environment, whilst being able to use own initiative 
 
Desirable
  • Previous experience of working in a customer facing, dynamic, hands-on technology environment with an emphasis on solution delivery and platform optimisation
  • Requires 1+ years of experience implementing solutions operating in a 24/7 environment
  • Proactive, upbeat and collaborative communication style, with the ability to be direct, tactful, and transparent
