As a Sales Account Executive, You will be managing accounts which are constantly growing and will be responsible for managing queries, issues and projects related to a number of existing accounts, whilst maintaining and developing relationships across teams, departments and customers to ensure that the account is in line with the business needs and budgets. You will seek opportunities to expand customers software usage, including, but not limited to, additional licenses, training needs, upgrades, departmental/additional site integration and rollout.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with existing customers to build and maintain relationships, whilst understanding the customers’ needs
  • Have an awareness and an interest in researching the business market to create opportunities to create business growth
  • Undertake an adaptable approach to accounts, recognising that we cover global markets
  • Identify realistic opportunities, qualify them quickly and pursue them effectively
  • Work closely with the marketing team to follow up on sales leads from marketing campaigns
  • Use digital media platforms to strategically sell our software
  • Understand complex selling using a consultative sales process, build an effective business case, ROI and “scale the sale”
  • Comprehend the buying process and upscale wherever possible, selling value and outcomes
  • Understand and qualify needs and identify the decision makers within those organisations
  • Achieve sales targets, maintain, and develop a strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Provide accurate reporting of sales activity and forecast


To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience in successfully developing effective client relationships with multiple stakeholders, supporting the drive to develop new initiatives within those customers and hitting the “number”
  • Proven success in identifying cross sell opportunities, to maximize value, and expand rollout strategies
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple account projects simultaneously, in scope and on time
  • Tech savvy with a keen eye on how to position Ideagen on various social media platforms including webinars and video calling
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A natural enthusiasm and passion for sales alongside a determination to succeed
  • An understanding of pipeline management and flow and forecasting
  • A desire to continually learn, pick up news skills and increase your knowledge of the sector and product
  • Confident and a willingness to ‘pick up the phone’ to manage customer relationships
