The Technical Services team, based at our office in East Kilbride, Glasgow, is responsible for providing services and pre-sales assistance to customers across our product portfolio and focuses on 3 core areas; data services, systems integration and BI/Reporting. As a Data Migration Engineer you will work in conjunction with a number of teams in the business including Project Management, Product Development and Sales teams to ensure successful delivery of projects to our customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build, deliver and maintain data migration and import services for new, existing and acquired products to support product roadmap and customer transition
  • Design business intelligence solutions and support new product innovations to deliver customer data
  • Engage with Project Managers, Coordinators and other members of the Service Delivery Team to identify project requirements and produce reusable solutions
    Regularly engage with customers through digital conferencing and on-site situations to acquire project definitions, support implementations and manage
  • expectations
  • Scope new sales opportunities and identify the technical specifications and potential limitations
  • Identify efficiencies in process and establish new solutions to support future implementations

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Understanding of BI Development or ETL Development
  • Exposure to Microsoft stack including T-SQL, SSRS and SSIS
  • Knowledge and awareness of emerging BI, ETL and Cloud concepts
  • Experience in a customer facing environment handling all levels of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


  • Knowledge of TIBCO products including Jaspersoft and Talend ETL
  • Experience using Cloud Services such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau and API/Web Services, .NET C#, Java, Python and other scripting languages
  • Experience dealing with customers and projects on a global scale
