We are looking to recruit a talented Communications Executive to join the Acquisition & Retention Marketing team. This is a key role working within the heart of our business to create, deliver and optimise both our internal and customer communication strategies.

An experienced communications professional, you will be brilliant at writing clear, concise, 'on brand' communications, with the ability to adapt your tone and style to deliver anything from inspirational blogs, to leadership messages, product updates to customer newsletters.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Develop internal and customer communications strategies to support business objectives
  • Customer communications - Create and deliver a range of customer communications and engagement programmes, including but not limited to -
    • Write & deliver clear and timely product updates, working collaboratively with the Product team
    • Support customer marketing projects to enhance the customer journey, increase customer value and retention, predominantly through email channels
    • Support new business acquisitions through creation & delivery of an engaging and compelling communications package, with the aim of keeping our customers informed, reassured and educated
    • Write & deliver customer communications representing the Ideagen brand
  • Develop customer tone of voice, inclusive of a global customer base
  • Optimise performance of customer communication key KPI’s, eg open rates and click- through rates
  • Support Ideagen CSR communication programmes, through internal and external communications
  • Internal Comms (interim until Sept 21) – Write & deliver engaging and compelling communications with the aim of keeping our people informed and engaged. Execute internal messages through the appropriate channel & platform.
  • Intranet platform (MyGen) (interim until Sept 21) - Continue to embed the intranet platform throughout the business, through -
    • Creation and delivery of an internal content strategy & calendar, ensuring staff inclusivity across our global sites. This includes writing blog content and producing new and innovative ways to drive engagement with the intranet
    • Collaboration with the wider business to funnel relevant content to MyGen
    • Encourage our people to contribute to MyGen content
    • Apply best practice principles to optimise staff engagement with content eg utilising MyGen Community
  • Analyse & report on the performance of key KPIs (visitors, page views & collaboration score) and continuously optimise the content plan to increase KPI performance in conjunction with our platform provider (Interact), key stakeholders and our internal Digital team



Knowledge & Experience


  • Solid working experience in a similar communications role
  • Excellent copywriter, with proven experience of flexing your writing style to suit a variety of audiences
  • Capable of working with senior stakeholders (C-Suite level) to produce business critical, high-profile communications
  • Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with a variety of stakeholders
  • Please note, as is the nature of comms, you’ll be expected to work outside of core hours where necessary to deliver critical communications


  • Experience of producing email communications, aligning with best practice 
  • Experience of CRM and automation systems, ideally SalesForce and Pardot
  • Experience of intranet platforms, ideally Interact
  • Experience of working in the software industry and/or global markets
